This profession needs your collective wisdom more than ever. Please don’t worry about your writing style . You will be helping the next generation. Share what has worked for you. Everyone is extremely busy; so try and keep your posts concise and to the point. Keep them positive and authentic! Please keep the word count between 1,000 to 2,000 words. I am grateful to my mentors who guided me on my journey. I soaked up their advice like a sponge. In the past, dentists would frequently attend meetings and share in person. Dr. Steve Christensen
This website is a tribute to my best friend and colleague, Dr Steve Christensen.
Steve left this world far too soon in 2021 from pancreatic cancer at the age of 61. My wife and I were in route. We were hurrying to say our final goodbye but Steve passed just before I arrived .It was the saddest day of my life to see him lying there. I walked down to the lake and wept.
Steve was a year ahead of me at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He practiced general dentistry in Laurens and Spirit Lake Iowa. Steve got me started going to Lake Okoboji after my graduation and I have gone back every year since, taking my wife and kids and now my new grandchild. Time spent in the Iowa Great Lakes has been such a Blessing to me and my family! I always thought that we would get together over the summers in retirement. Steve and I were first generation dentists who loved practicing dentistry and serving our patients. He knew I loved helping the next generation of dentists.
I wondered if any dentist would find my site and want to hear what I had to say? He said that my message would resonate and to go help the young dentists.
I know he is smiling down.
I miss you good friend.
